A "Tiny" Biography...

Miniaturist Rebecca Stewart has dabbled in creativity since childhood with a abundance of imagination that has continued into her adult life, once owning and operating The Makery, a Brick and Mortar Creative Arts Studio, located on the Historic Fountain Square of the town in which she resides.

She is self taught, with no formal University Art Instruction.

Her previous professional career in the field of Ophthalmology, seemed only fitting for the tiny details of Miniatures!

How the Miniature Journey Started:

In 2015, Rebecca purchased a miniature “how to book” and began constructing her adaptation of her very first from “scratch” miniature house. Rebecca quickly realized discovering “the look” of the miniature furnishing she wanted to grace the interior of the miniature house or as she likes to call it a “French Chateau” was proving to be quite challenging, then a thought occurred “I can create them myself and begin offering pieces to others that might also be looking for non traditional miniature pieces for their miniature homes”.

The Journey Begins:

With her first miniature creation complete, Rebecca opened the Shop of Tiny Dwelling Miniatures and within four hours she had acquired her first miniature customer!

First Miniature Sold & Location:

An Antique Petit Point Ladies Slipper Chair dispatched to Italy!

The Miniature Journey Continues:

Now with over 5000 sales with customers in all 50 States, as well as over a dozen Countries, her miniature creations have been represented at Nationally/Internationally Miniature Shows as well as in Miniature Publications (hardback and periodicals) in the United States and Europe.

Tiny Dwelling Miniatures also as a large presence on various platforms that include Blogs, Pinterest Boards, Instagram Pages, a Children’s Book and even a Museum in New York!
