A "Tiny" Biography...
Miniaturist Rebecca Stewart has dabbled in creativity since childhood with a abundance of imagination that has continued into her adult life, once owning and operating The Makery, a Brick and Mortar Creative Arts Studio, located on the Historic Fountain Square of the town in which she resides.
She is self taught, with no formal University Art Instruction.
Her previous professional career in the field of Ophthalmology, seemed only fitting for the tiny details of Miniatures!
How the Miniature Journey Started:
In 2015, Rebecca purchased a miniature “how to book” and began constructing her first from “scratch” miniature house, it was during that time she quickly realized a challenge with discovering the style of miniature furnishings suited to grace the interior spaces, it was then she created her first miniature piece of furniture.
The Journey Begins:
With her first miniature creation complete, Rebecca opened the Shop of Tiny Dwelling Miniatures in June of 2015, within four hours she had acquired her first miniature customer!
First Miniature Sold & Location:
An Antique Petit Point Ladies Slipper Chair dispatched to Italy!
The Miniature Journey Continues:
June 2025, marks her 10th year of working in the Dollhouse Miniature Industry, with 5000+ sales, customers in all 50 US States, as well as a dozen+ Countries, her work has been showcased at National and International Miniature Shows, features in Miniature Publications (hardback and periodicals) in the United States and Europe.
Tiny Dwelling Miniatures also has a large presence on other various platforms that include Blogs, Pinterest Boards, Instagram Pages, a Children’s Book and even a Museum!
